Harambee Rising

Created as a love letter to 3rd Ward from me, a fourth generation resident.
Presented to SHAPE Community Center upon its 50th anniversary, it bears the signatures of community elders and standard bearers of politics, social justice and in the arts, all floating within the chain link motif. Discussions and drawing about community and cultural identities took place at Yellowstone Academy and Yates High School, along with tile fabrication.
